About

Hello to the beyond and forth!
Kimberly is a first-generation Haitian-American writer/director and actress, Queens-raised and now LA-based, whose work blends horror, absurdism, and surrealism to explore stories of the misunderstood. Her mission is: play. And to create space for underrepresented voices within genre to embrace the uncanny and the weird—and be completely unhinged.

Her pilot TYPECASTED was a Top 25 finalist for Almanack’s 2026 Episodic Lab, advancing to the interview round. Her horror/sci-fi pilot SAINTSVILLE was developed through the 2026 Justice For My Sister BIPOC Sci-Fi Pilot Lab, where she was selected as one of six participants to advance to Phase 2. Her feature Man of Her Dreams was a Top 25 finalist for Almanack’s 2025 October Colony, and her feature pitch J.23 was selected for PROOF Film Festival’s 2026 Pitch Show & Tell, powered by the American Cinematheque. Her scripts A GAME and Thank Mother were recognized by Killer Shorts as a Top 10 Finalist and Quarterfinalist, respectively. Her dystopian short W(HOLE) was a finalist for the 2024 Storytelling with Care Grant.

Her short films have screened at the Academy Award–qualifying Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival (LAAPFF), Outfest x HBO, Women of the Lens, and Newark International Film Festival.

Kimberly is a “yes-ander” and a self-proclaimed amateur philosopher. She loves storytelling, collaboration and welcomes any opportunity to pick brains. She is a 2026 Prelude Fellow, 2026 Craigardan Trillium Fellow, and 2026 Justice For My Sister BIPOC Sci-Fi Lab Fellow.

As a Prelude Fellow, she worked one-on-one with her mentor Kim Yutani, Director of Programming at Sundance Film Festival, to refine her work.

Kimberly is also available for fashion, beauty and commercial modeling opportunities.
